With over 21 direct weekly flights between Cape Town and Kruger it is relatively easy for guests to get both bucket list destinations done needing much less travel time than ever before.

Virgin Limited Edition did it the other way round with Mont Rochelle following Ulusaba Private Game Reserve. Ulusaba will be reopening on 1 April 2027, currently undergoing a major renovation.

As of the 17th of May 2026, there are 3 direct flights per week from George to Hoedspruit, opening great packaging the Garden Route with Cape and Kruger. If you are looking for more than just a spectacular scenic drive, then the Out & About Travel collaboration with Hunter Gatherers is the perfect opportunity to add uniqueness to your trip. Hunter Gatherers operate slack pack hikes along the South Cape Coast, focusing on heritage and the origin of humankind. Guided by Cameron Orban you are introduced to the oldest known inhabitants of the area, how they lived and what they ate. As the name suggests there will be some gathering from the bounty of the ocean. Guests will be shown how and what can be harvested and taught how to prepare it. If you prefer something wilder Hunter Gatherers offer the Wild Coast Wild Nguni Trail on the Transkei Coast. A Mozambique Whale & Turtle Trail is in development.

Elusive Species Route and Jaci's reopening

Great news is that Jaci’s Private Lodge is open again as of the 1st of July.
